Amazing dessert y'all must try!

So this weekend was my best friend's 19 birthday! I am a little tight on money so I made her cupcakes instead of taking her out for a birthday dinner or getting her a big gift. I was originally going to make yellow cake cupcakes with homeade buttercream icing. Instead I seen on the box, "for a cookie dough taste, add chocolate chip cookies!" I thought that sounded interesting. So I made half regular and half the new recipe. *Just to try it out, and if it tasted bad, then I would not have wasted an entire box of cake mix. They are freaking amazing!
Recipe:
make the yellow cake like you normally would but after it's mixed up add a cup of crushed chocolate chip cookies ( I used a half a cup of Chips Ahoy since I only did half a recipe)
You bake it like normal.
They are amazing! If y'all make them give me some feed back on what you think! I am thinking about making them for my co-workers and I don't want to take them in if I am the only one that thinks they are amazing!! :)
Love always and forever,
Jackie

  1. What an interesting (and tasty) idea. Do you think the cupcakes would be good with chewy (not crunchy) chocolate chip cookies?

  4. These sound really yummy! Lately, I've been obsessed with making cupcakes! So far, I've made banana cream pie and peanut butter and jelly. Cupcakes are an inexpensive, yet delicious and thoughtful present, especially if you make that person's favorite flavors or even surprise them with something new and different! After school is over, I plan on making tons more cupcakes and will definitely have to try out this recipe! Thanks for sharing!
