Last night I went to the Pool Hall in South County for the first time. It was nothing what I had expected it to be. There were about 20 tables. They had darts in the back, video games on the side where the girls bathroom is, and they had a jukebox. For a table all night, it was only $10 per person. I did not play because I didn't have the money but my best friend's boyfriend, David, and one of our really good friend, Brandon, played. Susan, Kristen, and I just sat around and talked. We talked Brandon into giving us money to play music while they played. Brandon is really good at pool and kept making David mad because he kept winning. Around 9:30 P.M is when most of the people start showing up. Many people from my high school where there and I was excited to see them. I will definitely be going back again even if I do not play pool. The people are good enough for me. We ended up not leaving the pool hall until almost one and then Brandon, David, Susan, and I ended up heading back to David & Susan's house and hung out until around 3. It was an awesome night with people I love.
So if you are a pool player or enjoy watching pool I suggest you go to Ride The Rail Billiards. It is an alcohol free zone and smoking is only allowed outside the building. Trust me it is worth going down there!!

My Top Five Male Country Singers!!
My Top Five Male Country Singers!!
(not in any order..too hard to put in order)
1. Blake Shelton: He is an amazing singer! He sang the National Anthem with his wife, Miranda Lambert, at the Super Bowl this year. My favorite song sung by him is God Gave Me You. I also like Who Are You When I'm Not Looking, Honey Bee, All About Tonight, She Wouldn't Be Gone, and Hillbilly Bone.
2. Brantley Gilbert: I freaking love him!! He is an absolutly amazing singer. He was born and raised in Georgia (hello southern boy!! haha only one state away from my Alabama). He was in a car accident that almost took his life. His song Halfway to Heaven is about it. My favorite song by him is You Don't Know Her Like I Do. His Halfway to Heaven album is fantastic!Tuesday, January 31, 2012
Amazing dessert y'all must try!
So this weekend was my best friend's 19 birthday! I am a little tight on money so I made her cupcakes instead of taking her out for a birthday dinner or getting her a big gift. I was originally going to make yellow cake cupcakes with homeade buttercream icing. Instead I seen on the box, "for a cookie dough taste, add chocolate chip cookies!" I thought that sounded interesting. So I made half regular and half the new recipe. *Just to try it out, and if it tasted bad, then I would not have wasted an entire box of cake mix. They are freaking amazing!
Recipe:
make the yellow cake like you normally would but after it's mixed up add a cup of crushed chocolate chip cookies ( I used a half a cup of Chips Ahoy since I only did half a recipe)
You bake it like normal.
They are amazing! If y'all make them give me some feed back on what you think! I am thinking about making them for my co-workers and I don't want to take them in if I am the only one that thinks they are amazing!! :)
Love always and forever,
Jackie

I Am From...
I am from a closed door, from mirrors and drawn shades. I am from the small house that comforts. I am from the daisy. The big pine tree whose long gone limbs I remember as if they were my own.
I'm from Christmas' together and the south, from mom and dad. I'm from dinner together and a kiss on the cheek goodnight and from hugs goodbye.
I'm from don't do that and great job and He's Got The Whole World In His Hands. I'm from church on Sundays. I'm from St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Illinois and down home in Alabama, steak and fried okra. From Mamaw Boyer being diagnosed with lung cancer and her surving but becoming a victim of congestive heartfailure. She is with me and her love is always in my memories and forever in my heart.
